On January 18th, The Texas Gulf Area Labor Federation Congress of Industrial Organizations Committee on Political Education Endorsed (AFL-CIO-COPE) Fred Medina as their candidate for Texas House of Representatives District 14.
The Texas AFL-CIO is a state labor federation of 240,000 affiliated union members and the endorsement of the Committee on Public Education (COPE). These Texans desire leaders who will fight for better wages and expanded benefits, fully-funded neighborhood public schools and increased educator pay, improved access to affordable health care coverage, and a fair shot for all in our communities and across our state. They are the regional body of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the largest federation of unions in the United States.
